As an adult, I still read literature on a regular basis, but rarely (get to!) do math except when I'm helping the kids with homework. But as a student, despite a great love for literature that eventually led into post-graduate degrees, I have to say that I enjoyed math classes much more -- not necessarily for the subject (although math is great fun) but because English teachers were typically so bad. I found, however, that even subpar math teachers couldn't throw me off the subject.
