On the basis of art alone, it's JB easily.  If it's concepts, Kirby.

ow - headache time  -- I was instantly in love with JB's FF with previous work predisposing me to like it, while I more had to discover my way into Kirby's - having a predisposition against it (particularly the later Sinnott inked era) - and yet when I DID discover it with the Right Eyes -- and realized how issue after issue Characters who are cornerstones and giants of the Marvel Universe were introduce, and action exploded on the page  -- and yet, JB's had the action, and humor and now has fond memories as well as holds up as great comics . . gut reaction to the question is John Byrne's, but a part of me stays it should be the other way.

JB couldn't have done it without The King, but he did it.  JB's FF.

Lee and Kirby's FF, the best run in the history of comics.

I'd say Kirby's FF as deftly portrayed by JB. Can''t have one without the other.
