I've always preferred DC over Marvel, but I didn't start seriously buying comics until about 1986. That period, in my opinion, was when DC hit its Platinum Age or renaissance (which, in my opinion, lasted until around 1993).

Currently I only buy the occasional comic or graphic novel. I've pretty much given up on the Big Two; what would excite me as a reader would be if Moonstone or some similar young indy company were to explode into a big creative stride. We really need a big independent company that can do superheroes and something other than movie tie-in and franchise stuff.

JB's X-Men or JB's Fantastic Four?

****

Well, since the former wasn't all JB... I go with the latter.

JB's X-Men or JB's Fantastic Four?
***************************************************

Well, not that it makes a difference to my decision, but there technically never was (unless you mean Hidden Years) a "JB's X-Men" there was that Claremont guy involved.

JB's run on Fantastic Four is pure gold.

Is Claremont even working in comics since he quit X-men and Excalibur a year ago or so?

well i have always liked the differnet comics mr. byrne has been drawing. you have to admit that even if you did not like superman you wanted to read the stories he did. if he was to be drawing the hulk right now i would always read that and if he drew a comics about the demon then i am reading that one. these are the reasons why i say for me it is not marvel or dc but what mr. byrne does. i guess now as long as mr. quesara is there it will be dc for me because marvel has really died already.

X-Men

('Cause Dark Phoenix is my favorite superhero story
-- so hey, I guess my answer to yesterday's question
was Dark Phoenix ...)
