Are these movies or are we just talking about the legends in general?

If it's the latter, I'll go with King Arthur. T.H. White's The Once and Future King puts him over the top for me -- I first read that book when I was about 14 and absolutely loved it.

King Arthur, most especially the recent edition with Clive Owen !  Great battle scenes !  There were some other cool characters/actors too!  Ioan Griffuds and his double swords, and the fellows with the hawk (Tristan . . . .) were my two favorites !

Thought Balloons - because they can convey information in a different way to the readers and show insight into the motivations of the characters.

Haven't seen either movie but I'll say Buckaroo Banzai.

The Legend of King Arthur.

Hmm. Real tough one.  Robin Hood in a real squeaker, mainly because he's inspired more good comic book characters.  No Robin, Green Arrow, or Hawkeye without Robin Hood.

Yeah, but Arthur inspired an aspect of Thor and the group Excalibur which had at least five members.  :)

King Arthur operated on a bigger canvas, but Robin Hood seemed a much happier chap.  And both supporting casts rock.  But Arthur has some classic fantasy elements.  Excalibur's nearly as cool as Mjolnir.  Robin just had a bunch of sticks.

So, King Arthur.  Although proper government of course results from a mandate from the masses, not farcical aquatic ceremonies.  I mean, if I claimed to be Emperor because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.

African or European Swallow?

No, no, no, that's TOO silly.  We want something silly ENOUGH...

Blazing Saddles or Monty Python and The Holy Grail?
