Firebird, a very nice Christian lady and thoughtful super-heroine (or superhero if you prefer) !
Note: I like how she "took on" Thor in the Kang Dynasty and the big feast Thor prepared for the Avengers after the battle ! Kudos to Mr. Busiek !

While I like Firebird, Fire is all that's left of the Super Friends comic heroine Green Fury, and I really liked Green Fury, so I'll go with Fire... Plus, her character was actually kind of funny in the Justice League live-action TV movie...

Machine Man!
I recently read Kirby's 2001 series and Machine Man seemed to come from Kirby just not being able to control himself and HAVING to turn 2001 into a superhero comic!
