Catching up....
- Green Lantern over Iron Man. Good question - lots of similarities between these two characters over the years.
- Hal Jordan over Tony Stark. Even before Stark became Lex Luthor Lite, he still was kind of obnoxious. Plus, I love the O'Neil/Adams Green Arrow/Green Lantern stuff.
- John Stewart over Jim Rhodes. Rhodey was great as Tony Stark's wingman back in the day. But when he became Iron Man, it seemed like the idea was to make him as incompetent as possible.
Yeah, I know the point was to show that Iron Man was more than a suit of armor and that Tony Stark was the "real" Iron Man, no matter who had the armor. But it made Rhodes seem like a real chump and that bugged me. He deserved better.
- Martian Manhunter over the Hulk seven days a week and twice on Sunday. J'onn J'onzz is perfect for the "stranger in a strange land" types of stories that writers often mistakenly try to force on Superman.
- Giant-Man over Apache Chief. Like I've said before, I don't consider the cartoon-only characters like Apache Chief to be "real" superheroes. If they aren't in the comics, they aren't real, in my book!
