JB's Superman - something of a default since i've only read Walt's Thor from the point where he was only writing it (cheaper backissues at that point) - someday i'll pick up the earlier stuff with Walt's art.  At any rate, JB's Superman is the only time i've been a fan of Superman as a title, and as a solo character.

Jerry Ordway's Superman.  He draws Superman in a classic style as he does with Captain Marvel.
