With Batman and Superman, you almost need to address which "incarnation" you're voting for! :-) But overall, I'll go with Batman.

"Classic" Marvel by a long margin. Basically Marvel circa 1961-1991. I think that even as a kid, the fact that many Marvel heroes like the Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer etc, where loners who weren't always understood or accepted by the world at large, appealed to me--the fact that for the longest time Marvel seemed to have relatively flawless continuity and a club-house feel certainly helped.

Geez! I thought this one would be a "no brainer", but looking over all the
previous posts I guess I have to think again.
Having gone back back and forth over thiry years of collecting, I currently
collect more MARVEL than DC. More becaue I find the art more appealing
(Being an "artist-driven" collector I go wherever the art takes me).

I started out a DC kid. Lost interest in DC in the early 80's, found JB's Cap and Layton's Iron Man, and switched to Marvel for a few years. During the 90's I was about 50/50, but for the last five years I bought new comics Marvel was slowly but completely phased out. I wish someone still published them.

Batman. I blame the 1960s TV show for making me a fan.
