My mom made me a Robin costume when I was 4, so I am with the boy wonder.

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (2/5):

The Flash or Quicksilver?

This is the first of your toss ups that I've wondered if it's really a fair question. The Flash is a pillar of comic-dom, while Quicksilver has never been more than a supporting character. I mean no disrespect but I think it's like comparing Superman to Wonderman. Or Spider-man to Blue Beetle.

Again, Marvel/Avengers fan, so I'm going with Quicksilver.

Tough call. On one hand I could go with Quicksilver - for the same reason I
like Northstar. sometimes a bit of abrasiveness can add to the team
dynamic.

Ultimately, though, Flash has carried many more storylines with his own
book. There have been a few versions of Flash and versions 1-3 win it for
me.

Flash.

Faster.
Opened the Silver Age (assuming you're talking about Barry Allen).

No contest.

Fair enough, Oliver, and I agree.  I am sure you see the pattern here for the next week or so of TOSS-UP, so please bear with me, and please remember that every character is someone's favorite character, including Quicksilver, and two people have already picked him.

Me, I am going with The Flash!

Which Flash is another TOSS-UP :-)
