I vote "neither" on the last two questions., These mega-crossover events have ALL disappointed me, and the cumulative effect is pretty damn close to turning me off to comics altogether at this point. I'm sick of this endless hype about underwhelming, over-reaching sagas that will supposedly "change the (fill in blank here) universe forever." I just want good monthly stories about heroes I can care about. With very few exceptions, it's been a long time since I've experienced much of that.

Playing Catch Up:

Wieringo

Countdown (52 was a mess, and Countdown is only slightly better)

World War Hulk (love it!)

I guess I have to say World War Hulk, since I haven't read Eternals. I did look through one of the issues, and didn't buy it.

Arrgh, talk like a pirate!

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (9/19):

Which Superman do you prefer, the one in the new Superman/Domsday DVD or the one from Justice League Unlimited?

Shiver me timbers.

  • Eternals (only because I've read it)
  • Justice League Unlimited (I was disappionted with the animation and characterization of Superman in the Doomsday DVD.)
