For yesterday's, Aparo's Brave and the Bold. While I very much enjoyed BATO, Aparo's earlier, more illustrative work was something to behold.

Today, the Giffen/DeMatties JL.  At least they were doing something with the title that had never been done before. Morrison's was reheated Gardner Fox punctuated with frequent Warren Ellis moments. Wow.  Both intensely boring and intensely hostile, but hey, at least it was intense!! And the Howard Porter art? Gahh... The men all wore shadowy goatees, Wonder Woman was given a chinstrap to keep her tiara on...

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (8/21):

Gil Kane inked by somebody else, e.g. John Romita, or Gil Kane inked by himself, a la Action Comics?

Gil Kane inked by himself. You get pure Gil Kane. I always love it when an artist inks themselves. You get the total picture or vision of the artist.

Kane inking himself is my choice. Not that others didn't produce great work with him, I usually prefer seeing artists ink themselves.

Tough one today, but if I must choose, I'll go with Kane inked by Anderson.

I wonder what Al Milgrom's inks would look like over Kane's art?

Not sure I know enough to answer this but I'll say Gil Kane inking himself.  I really liked his Action Comics run!
