Dan Slott. I've never read a Deadpool comic in my life and I trusted Slott enough to buy the Deadpool/GLI Special. It was a hoot and a holler!

Dan Slott.  More action and fewer talking heads.

Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!
Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!
Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!  Jeph Loeb!

Full Disclosure: can't recall any Jeph Loeb, but I sure as hell can recall some JMS.

Loeb - and it's not even close. His Batman: The Long Halloween is perhaps the best Batman story of the past decade.
