It's impossible to choose art of one over another. I'll go with how much a genius they were/are.

Ditko/Adams/Buscema/JB

Can I throw in one?

Which set of characters are greater? The Shadow, Tarzan, Doc Savage, or Superman, Batman, Spider-Man?

Well, success shows the second group of characters to be greater-- in
constant publication every month since their inception, everyone has a
record breaking film, and everyone of them is common knowledge to every
American and beyond.

I do like the first group though. Tarzan is a wonderful novel.

On Chad's toss-up:

The second group: Superman, Batman, Spider-Man.
