For the Toss-Up, I'd be an X-Man as long as I have a legit cool ability. Or six arms. I'd be all over six arms.

JRJr is too willing to whore his talent for Marvel's crappy events

It's almost as if he's trying to fulfill some sort of contract he signed.

Jedi and it depends on who they are drawing. "Street level" heroes = JRjr

Cosmic Heroes= Alan Davis.

Overall . . . I guess my tastes lean more to JRjr . . .  but Alan Davis would be in the top 5.

It's too bad JRJr is going through motions, on some things. The WOLVERINE stuff shows he's more than willing to have a great time. That Captain America post-death story recently is mind-numbingly boring in every way.

I have found that no matter how lame the storyline, and I've read his run on
JMS's Spidey run, Romita's art has always been stellar.

Besides, there's no telling what Romita likes and what project he's fired up
for. He might have loved that Cap story (I don't care for Loeb and didn't
purchase it). In any case, he's doing WWHulk and I'd imagine drawing the
Hulk VS the entire MU is right up his alley. WWH #1 looked phenomenal.

Changing gears today...

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (6/28):

Put these four guys in order.

1.  John Byrne

2.  George Perez

3.  John Romita Jr.

4. Alan Davis

NOTE: These are not my top 4 current artists (close though; Hmmm...).  These are simply the last few we have discussed.  The question is already in order for me.

James, I will be going to D.C. this weekend.  Would you like to host TOSS-UP while I am gone (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday)?

John, George, and Junior are definitely my top three.  Davis at #4 is tough.  My #4 might also be Walt Simonson or Jim Lee.  Hmmm...

Fantastic Four: The End was beautiful, AND I enjoyed the story.  JB, if you want to read it, I will send you mine (as a thank you).

As much as I admire George Perez's art, for some reason he doesn't pop into my mind immediately when I try to list my favorite artists. Maybe this is subconsciously influenced by who was drawing what at a particular time in my life. I don't know.

OK, I am not changing the question, but Jim Lee is down to #6.  #4-5 are Davis and Simonson, but I think they keep switching depending on the project.

Maybe someone should start a new top ten current thread.
