Simonson, but if JB ever did a run of Thor, I'm certain it wouldn't be a disappointment.

Simonson, though I won't knock JB's version one bit.

Simonson . . . but would buy a JB run on Thor.

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (6/14):

Who's rendition of Daredevil do you prefer, Frank Miller's or John Byrne's?

I'll go with JB's, even though when I think of Daredevil, I see Miller's or JRjr's.

Frank Miller but would not be adverse to seeing JB take a run at this character as well. I agree with Kevin somewhat . . . when I picture Daredevil, it's JRjr's art (with no slight intended to Miller or Byrne) I see in my head.

Frank Miller wins this one. Like Simonson on Thor, Miller's run is the run of Daredevil that I grew up on and I imagine when I see the character.

Gotta go with Frank Miller - like JB and the Fantastic Four or Simonson and Thor, Miller's Daredevil is the definitive version.

I don't think Daredevil is a good match for JB. John Byrne is the quintessential superhero artist - Superman, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Wonder Woman, etc. But Daredevil is more of a pulp fiction hero than a classic superhero. His stories are more suited to a darker, grittier style of art than JB employs.

And that's no knock on either the artist or the character. Just saying that not every character is a good fit for any artist, even one as accomplished and skilled as our esteemed host.

Frank Miller's version of DD, but to balance things out, JB's Batman blows Miller's away.
