Ok, here we go with some tricky, or is that, sticky ones.  Be honest.

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (6/13):

Who's rendition of Thor do you prefer, Walt Simonson's or John Byrne's?

Byrne, I was never much of a Simonson fan. (My favorite regular Thor penciler was Keith Pollard).

Walt Simonson is to Thor as JB is to Fantastic Four.

Walt Simonson is to Thor as JB is to Fantastic Four.

I agree. No offense to our esteemed host, but Walt Simonson is the definitive Thor writer/artist.

I can't really recall seeing JB's Thor, so I'll say Walt Simonson.

The only image I can recall of JB's Thor is from his Avengers' run. So, I
would have to say I like Simonson's a little better. I think JB could top that
with his newer art style though.

To be honest there is one artist (alive) who actually tops them both in my
mind. Pretty surprising statement to myself!

I have said it before and I will say it again here...John Byrne
drew the single greatest image of Thor I have EVER seen in the
pages of Marvel Team-Up #70! The scene where Thor
smashes a TUGBOAT that was hurled at him by the Living
Monolith!

To me....Thor has never looked better before or since that piece
of art.

PERIOD.
