Zatanna, Metamorpho, Batman -- Cage just doesn't seem like a harmonious (or entertaining) fit with the other two marvel guys.

Cyclops, Power Man and Shaman. That would actually be a really cool combo; square white guy, street smart black powerhouse and mystical native Canadian. That would be an awesome trio! Crap, the more I think about it, the more I want to read that book!

The DC idea would be about how the heroes get along and work well together. The Marvel one would be about how they don't. It's DC for me, see?

Brian has hit on what I was thinking, except I would say the Marvel team has an arc, and the DC team will be pretty static. And that's why I'd prefer the Marvel team. I particularly anticipate a scene where Luke Cage tells Cyclops he's a good leader in a scrap, and Cyclops tells him he's had ample experience reigning in hotheads... Friday, 9/3 toss-up: better imaginary DVD extra - the characters from Futurama act out The Breakfast Club, or a commentary track on Big Trouble in Little China by Kurt Russell as Jack Burton?
