I picked Sandman because I don't even know who Molten Man is.

Sandman but I really like Molten Man because of all his connections to Spidey's supporting cast!

If you don't know Molten Man that means you haven't read Ditko's Spider-Man comics which I honestly think should be mandatory reading.

Neither one feels like a Spider-Man villain to me, but I too shall go with Molten Man due to his connection to Ms. Liz Allen.

Personal aside: I used to go to a book store as a kid in Olney, IL about forty minutes from home, that had tons of comics of all kinds.  It had massive turnover, so it was worth going to every chance I got.  Anyway, one day I went there and it was about cleaned out, but there ten Spider-Man comics I had never seen before.  At least seven of them were Molten Man appearances.

[edit: Liz Allen, not Betty Brant]

Saturday, 8/28 toss-up: which spider-villain should have been a bigger wheel in the MU - The Beetle or The Grizzly?

I'll say the Grizzly because the Beetle has had a day in the sun as Mach-1, a member of the Thunderbolts back when they were the "it" team in the Marvel Universe. (A team of disguised criminals under the leadership of a long-time villain who now wraps himself in the flag... Yeah, there could a bit more mileage in that idea... Hmmm...)

Wasn't the Molten Man's connection to Liz Allen? As I recall, Betty Brant also had a brother mixed up in the criminal world.
