The wheel is more fundamentally useful, which initially had me siding towards it. But in terms of which required more actual invention. The aerodynamics of a wing are pretty damn smart. The wheel you can work out by watching a pebble roll down a hill. So I'll go with the wing.

I think the wheel.  You can approach it a jillion different ways, but I'm going with: without the wheel, the wing wouldn't have gotten off the ground.

(Forgive me; I'm just not in a comics mood lately)

Saturday, 7/24 toss-up: Space Invaders  or Missile Command?
