Of course they did.  They were input.  It all gets processed and integrated, whether consciously or not.

Not as a primary influence.  If anything, I found the messages to be heavy-handed.

some, but I was in high school when I read the  O'Neil and Adams GL GA story arc that is an issue that I remember the most, but by then I had read to Kill a Mocking Bird, and watch All in the Family and Roots.
