That X-Men 111 is one of the best examples in comics of starting a story as close to the end as possible.  They cut out an entire issue!  I remember looking for 110 for forEVER and then finding I hadn't missed a thing!  That's good storytelling - and a great way to weird out a ten year old reader.

Saturday, 3/13 toss-up: Todd McFarlane's Spawn or Eric Larsen's Savage Dragon?

I don't understand today's toss up.  Is the question which would I rather line the cat's litter pan with?  Which is better at the bottom of a bird cage?

Savage Dragon for a while. But boy when it went bad, it went really bad.

Never liked Spawn.

You pose two alternatives but don't answer.  Shame on you.

And put your pants on.  Phillistine.

Philistines don't wear pants? That explains a lot.

I didn't answer because you didn't clarify.  This leaves me no choice but to answer both.

Clearly, since birds hate dragons, as everyone knows, Erik Larsen's masterpiece of aviary care becomes the perfect guano target blotter.

And, as cats themselves are the spawn of hell, it only makes sense that they defecate on the one thing in creation fouler than their own excrement.
