seems like the Purple Man would give Miller something different to work with - the Owl just sounds like more of the same.

I'd like to have seen where he'd have gone with Purple Man. Back in the day, Frank was quite the storyteller.

I'm going to go with The Owl.

Friday, 3/12 toss-up: better "what the heck is going on here?" story - X-Men 111 (Opens with Banshee the carnival barker) or Hulk 347 (the first "Joe Fix-It" story)?

I'm going with Hulk 347 simply because I read X-Men 112 years before I read 111, so it really wasn't a "what the" moment for me. I'm sure it would have been, given the opportunity, but oh well.
