seems like the Purple Man would give Miller something different to work with - the Owl just sounds like more of the same.

I'm going to go with The Owl. Friday, 3/12 toss-up: better "what the heck is going on here?" story - X-Men 111 (Opens with Banshee the carnival barker) or Hulk 347 (the first "Joe Fix-It" story)? [edit: typo]

I'm going with Hulk 347 simply because I read X-Men 112 years before I read 111, so it really wasn't a "what the" moment for me. I'm sure it would have been, given the opportunity, but oh well.
