The Star-Spangled Banner, if only because of the respect I have for people who could sing it well.

Agree with Michael; incredibly difficult to sing, but beautiful. [Here's an exceptionally non-traditional but pretty amazing version, for one]

yes, in HOW it's done is the key, that the Star Spangled Banner is both the best and potentially the worst Anthem - whereas you have to be a pro-wrestler to really make O Canada sound bad

I'm wiping patriotic tears from my eyes right this moment after having just listened to O Canada as our flag rose above our Gold Medal winning men's Olympic hockey team.
O CANADA now and forever.

Canada is the BEST COUNTRY IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
We went from never winning Gold on our own soil to beating the all-time record for most Gold Medals at a Winter Olympics!
God I feel great!
edited to add - Oh, yeah. O Canada of course!

O Canada. I like its stately melody and stirring chord changes, particularly, at the 'O Canada' after 'glorious and free'.

"O Canada" is a decent song. It's a clear winner for me here because "The Star-Spangled Banner" is a crappy, unsingable mess. I'd much rather our national anthem was "America the Beautiful". Or even "God Bless America" - and I'm a staunch atheist! Tuesday, 3/1 toss-up: better guest star - Superman or Spider-Man?

Spidey! Livens up every story with his humour and doesn't unbalance proceedings by being too powerful.
