Donald Duck cartoons. Those tantrums can only work in animated form.

Cartoons.  I used to drive all over town to Mom and Pop video rental places to see who had Donald Duck tapes I was missing, then did the two VCR recording thing.  I love Donald.

Always liked Donald.  Cartoon-wise he can't compare to Daffy, the king of animated ducks. but the comics were rich and hilarious.

Tuesday, 2/9 toss-up: which character could better survive as a character - Cyclops if he were able to control his optic blasts, or The Thing if he could change from monster to human at will?

Cyclops for sure.  Cyclops not controlling his blasts just means he gets to wear some cool shades most of the time.  Ben Grimm being stuck as a monster is integral to everything he is as a person and hero.

the Thing, after an early adjustment period, has already pretty much come to terms with being the Thing or not being the thing, whatever - he's Ben Grimm regardless, a personality which was already in place for years as an adult before he ever went up in the rocket.

while, if writen well, Cyclops not needing to take the precautions involved with uncontrolled blasts, would be devistating - it's something he's lived with since childhood and should be an intergral part of WHO he is - without it, he would have to find out who he's become.

Good question: it makes you realise how important these tragic flaws/limitations are to these characters. Basically I think either would pretty much knacker the character, but I'd have to go for The Thing. There's still a lot of mileage you can get out of Ben Grimm's personality.

This is a tough one. I'll go for Cyclops.
