Nothing against Ms Carter, but I'm going with Christopher Reeve.

Hammerhead sez:

Saturday, 12/12 toss-up: better casting - Toby Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, or Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman?

(Remember: you can think one is "better" without thinking it's any good - although personally I thought both choices were... decent.)

on paper, as they say, Maguire seemed like a decent idea but in practice turned out to be terrible

where as Keaton seemed like a terrible idea and turned out to be fair enough.

I liked both of them, but (at the risk of becoming a homeless pariah), I liked the Spider-Man movies more. So Tobey gets the nod.

Quite suprised at how well he did.

Despite, or perhaps because of, how poorly (IMO) the Tim Burton Batman films have aged, I still have to go with Keaton.  He's the best thing in it (sorry, Jack).
