I'm going with Beta Ray Thor.  Kitty definitely accumulated her share of barnacles over the years - super smart, hints of sorcerous ability, pet dragon, ninja training, made deputy leader of the friggin' X-Men at one point, for Pete's sake.

But Bill comes on the scene in Thor 337, promptly picks up Mjolnir (already we're in a rarefied air), beats Thor for the right to wield Mjolnir forever, gets Thor to help him save Bill's people, wins the heart of Sif without even trying, and by 350 is leading the Asgardian forces (as well as the Avengers and fantastic Four) in the battle for Midgard!  Talk about an overachiever!  I just finished reading Simonson's first 30 issues of Thor, and they rock, but Beta Ray thor stretches things a bit too much for comfort.

Sunday, 11/29 toss-up: Batman or Daredevil - who did Frank Miller do better?
