My first impression was go with Jo (Ultra Boy for the uninitiated - Jo Nah; see he was swallowed by a space-whale - get it?).
But how can I ever choose one Legionnaire over another? Long Live the Legion!
Ultra Boy. Shh, don't tell Cham!

I thought I was voting for Ultra Boy but it turned out to be Chameleon Boy doing his thing. I love Ultra Boy but Chameleon Boy rocked the subterfuge. Tuesday, 11/24 toss-up (Legion of Super-Heroes): Karate Kid or Timber Wolf?

Timber Wolf. Can't remember what issue it's in, but theres a story where Timber Wolf has to plant a seed on a world full of criminals, in hopes it will grow, and fulfill a prophecy. Great story.

Timber Wolf also. I remember that , William. I think it was a request by the late Karate Kid. It was a great issue.

Again a tough choice.
I'll go with Val, because there was too much weirdness in Brin's story over the years. Val was such a calming influence, and his death scene still brings a tear or two.
Incidentally, that story William mentioned also introduced the character Myg, who would later become Karate Kid II.
