*"Hero"

*I would definitely prefer reading about him as a high school student.

hmmm . . i'm tempted to pass on this question because, in 35 or so years of reading, i've never really been a spider-man reader -- the most i've read has been Spider-Man teaming up with other characters which he mostly did as a College student and beyond, so -- i guess that's my choice.

Peter Parker as a high schooler - a kid, really - is too compelling to ignore.  This skinny little wiseacre whupping on (and trash talking) a sucession of older enemies is a hoot and a half.  Wouldn't hurt for raking in the kiddies, either.

Thursday, 10/1 toss-up, Small World Edition: bigger coinky-dink - Johnny Storm dating a gal who ALSO has flame-related powers, or the X-Men being rescued by a group led by Scott Summers long-presumed-dead father?
