MARVEL.

DC has lots of iconic character designs for sure, but Marvel has so many great ones that broke away from the traditional superhero-with-a-cape design.

Cockrum's all-new X-Men, Spider-Man, Wolverine....the original X-Men and FF (not a traditional, square-jawed, muscle-bound hero among them!), Captain America (the ultimate patriotic hero design) and more and more.

Tough one... but speaking generally, Marvel.

Marvel wins.  Dave Cockrum rocked both houses, but the original Spider-Man costume is orders of magnitude better than whatever comes in second (probably Superman).

Sunday, 9/20 toss-up, Michael Tortorice edition: better mascot, Rick Jones or Snapper Carr?
