MARVEL.
DC has lots of iconic character designs for sure, but Marvel has so many great ones that broke away from the traditional superhero-with-a-cape design.
Cockrum's all-new X-Men, Spider-Man, Wolverine....the original X-Men and FF (not a traditional, square-jawed, muscle-bound hero among them!), Captain America (the ultimate patriotic hero design) and more and more.

Marvel wins. Dave Cockrum rocked both houses, but the original Spider-Man costume is orders of magnitude better than whatever comes in second (probably Superman). Sunday, 9/20 toss-up, Michael Tortorice edition: better mascot, Rick Jones or Snapper Carr?
