It'd be cookouts for me.  Of course, I'm sick as a dog and didn't do a damn thing.  Well, I coughed.  And I sacrificed myself to save the world in Fallout 3.  But nothing more than that.

Sunday 7/5 toss-up: which story would you rather read: Captain America vs. Deathstroke, or Batman vs. The Taskmaster?

Geez! That's a hard one.

It would have to depend on who did the art for each story.
Now, providing you had say... JB doing the art on either one...
... I'd have to go with Cap vs. Deathstroke.

I have a solid perception of the Taskmaster, tho' it is by now probably outdated, I'll stick with it -- while Taskmaster could match any physical Skill Batman has, it's in his nature to Not Fight him anymore than he has to - so the story would more likely be Batman in pursuit of a a highly skilled runner - whereas Captain American Vs. Deathstroke the Terminator - the Super-Solider vs. the Super-Assassin - all out spectacular war -- brutal and strategic, one going to any means necessary, the other good enough to hold to his ideals no matter what -- yeah, gimme that any day

Batman versus Taskmaster.

Captain America versus Deathstroke would be awesome but would not be a different type of story, a great one, but standard. The guy who will do anything to win versus the guy who won't, but will find a way to win anyway. Essentially Daredevil vs Bullseye.

Batman vs Taskmaster on the other hand would constitute a chase but also a trap: How does Batman get enough evidence to finally take Taskmaster down? How would Taskmaster react as Batman closes in on him? How desperate would he become? What would he finally do when in that corner where all of freedom might be taken away? This is a story that would change and define a character, and free him from his own good sense.

And you would still end up in the same place: The guy who will do anything to win vs the guy who won't, but will find a way to win anyway. But with a much more interesting - and personal to both characters - buildup to that fight.
