Thursday 7/2 toss-up: which bothers you more - when you are late, or when someone else is late?

When I'm late, I know how much longer it's going to take me to get where I am going. When someone else is late, I have absolutely no idea when they will show up. So, it bothers me more when someone else is late.

I'm notoriously punctual, and I can't stand waiting for others.

And yes, I meant "notorious." Some people are actually put off by how insistent I am about being early. I can't help it; I don't like being late.

Someone else being late.

If I'm late, there's something wrong, like a family thing or personal illness or a vehicular breakdown.

When other people are late, it tends to be because they couldn't be bothered to pay attention to the time. "Oops, I scheduled a hair appointment for 30 minutes before my shift" or "I was at the lake on the weekend and slept in"

I go for haircuts and go to the lake too - doesn't mean I don't know when I'm supposed to work!
