Ol' Hammerhead is having computer problems and has asked me to step
in and fill the gap with the Daily Toss-Up until he gets himself back
online.

So, a little housekeeping to start with, as I reveal that yes, of course, the
correct answer to yesterday's Toss-Up was indeed Dr. Doom. As
though there could have been any doubt.

And now the moment you've all been waiting for: Big Al's first Toss-Up
question:

Having certain enhanced or extra senses should bring a bit of an
advantage to being able to not only tell when someone is trying to pull
the wool, but to being able to deceive others oneself.

Better liar, and why: Matt Murdock, or Peter Parker?

Bonus points will of course be awarded for working "long walks on the
beach at sunset" into your answer.

Being the father of four, I'll say Peter Parker 'cause I'll always see him as a teenager.  Those little shits can and will lie about everything, especially about getting their homework done when they were really out for a long walk on the beach at sunset.  :^)

Murdock.  Parker'd feel guilty about it.

Murdock.  He tells lies to those looking for him to be lying.  Peter lies are told to those that trust him and will except almost any excuse.

Lex Luthor:  He would want to be popular with the people.  He would keep his underhanded dealings secret and out of the notice of the average person. I think I would be least affected by him as ruler.

Matt Murdock:  With his senses, he knows all about the indicators that show that someone is lying.  This would also show him what to avoid (as much as possible) in order to lie.

Matt Murdock-He would be able to sense if they were not believing his lies and would be able to adjust the lie to convince them.
