Cosby I think of the "chicken hart" was one of the first comedy routines I recall from my child hood.  Carlin I did not discover the 8th grade, while at my uncles and listening to the "forbidden records".  As much as I like George Carlin's work, Cosby has to be my favorite \.

Bill Cosby is the man.  He's made me laugh for over thirty years.  Carlin's stuff doesn't work on that kid level like Cosby's does.
