I like Regal Ryan Maxwell's answer most: "Hal, with or without the ring."

I guess I was thinking of the old saw that some writers seem unable to write characters more noble than they are, and that's why I went with Luke Cage.  Hal's just too awesome; I could never live up to that (obviously false because if I were Hal Jordan I'd be, well, Hal Jordan).  But Luke Cage has a chip on his shoulder and his motto is TCB - that's my level of acumen.

Wednesday 5/6 toss-up: new comic book day - read them in a specific order or grab any ol' issue out of the bag and dig in?
