Plastic Man is beyond irritating...but he's the most recognizable to me

Definitive?

Plastic Man

Never cared for him, but he's not only the first but the one who really uses his stretchy-ness and is defined by it. Mr Fantastic is defined by his brain, and Elongated Man by his sleuthing.

Reed's the best, but I gotta go with Plastic Man for all the reasons stated above.

Reed is my favorite, but Plastic Man wins this battle.  (By the way, for those who find Plas irritating...  Have you ever read the old Ramona Fradon-drawn issues?  They're a lot of fun...)

Mr. Fantastic. Even when discussing comic book characters with "civilians", whenever they mention "Stretch Man", it's always Reed they're referring to.

Plastic Man, since that's all he's known for or good for (he's also older than Mr. F and more iconic).  Mister Fantastic would be pretty darn useful even without his powers.
