Okay, I'll be serious.

I think from an exposure point of view, Kingpin flourished in Daredevil. He became a big fish in a truly small pond whereas in Spider-Man he didn't stand out as well with the competition. But it is Daredevils name on the cover, and a hero is measured by his adversities and his adversaries. I'd say they both benefitted tremdously, and we (the readers) even moreso.

Frank Miller (and no one can convince me FM isn't a character!)

Or Daredevil.  He's the one with a comic to sell every month.

Monday 3/16 toss-up: if you HAD to get rid of one (call it editorial fiat if you wish), who would you kick out of the JLA - Superman or Batman?

I'd have to say BATMAN.
He always seem work better as either in a duo or as leader of a group of
"outsiders".

Batman. He seemsout of place in the types of super-powered, cosmic adventures the JLA normally finds themselves in. I'd rather see him tackling street-level crime in Gotham City.

However, I don't think you need either to have a good Justice League book. My favorite run is the Kiffen/DeMatteis Justice League International stuff. Batman was on the team early on, but quickly left, and Superman wasn't involved at all, nor was Wonder Woman.
