I vote for Susan myself, in disbelief.
My favorite Phoenix is Simonson's, I have to confess.

Seems like both The Fantastic Four and the Invisible Woman are preferred to the Uncanny X-Men and Phoenix.
TODAY'S TOSS-UP (1/13):
Since he created them, JB's Alpha Flight or JB's Next Men?

Next Men. Tony Murcheson could kick Alpha Flight's butts.

Tough one.
Characters: AF
Series: NM
I like the AF characters more, but I always felt their promise was unfulfilled...in part, because the team never gathered (wasn't aware that was the premise of the series). The execution of the Next Men, on the other hand, was masterful. Yet, they were too real to be as likable as the AF.
Bethany is probably my favorite JB creation. Trust me to fall for the ice queen every time.

Gotta go with Next Men. But only after some serious thought.

Definitely Alpha Flight, for me. My reasons are up-thread.

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (1/14):
Keeping with the Alpha Flight motif for now,
JB's Snowbird or JB's Talisman?
