I shouldn't have written worse for Marvel, durn it - as Bruce points out, "for Marvel" they've both brought in wheelbarrows of cash.

More specifically, which was worse for superhero comics?

Wolverine, Punisher going from Villain to Hero is just a biproduct of Wolverine popularizing the "anti-hero"

Hmm, my point of view, and it's different than everyone else seems to be going in (what else is new?).

For me personally, I would say Wolverine. The huge oversaturation of this guy was one of the reasons I quit reading Marvel stuff for the most part. And to be honest, as a huge Cyclops fan, I never really did like this guy personally.

Troy and Michael have the right of it (I hate that expression but I'm re-reading the Song of Ice and Fire books again).  Wolverine was worse.  And I write this with a heavy heart as Wolverine was my favorite character for over ten years.  But in the stories he lived in, he was a breakout character badly in need of a leash.  And the more popular he got, the harder it was to make him fit.

Saturday 2/7 toss-up: better story - the epic Terrax-Galactus-Nova tale from FF's 242-244 OR the original Galactus story, FFs 48-50?!
