Angel, Cyclopes is a leader, and his character works best in a group.

Cyclops. I just find him more interesting.

Angel - lots of resoruces and options -- Cyclops pretty much belongs leading a team.

Angel is way more visual. Not real sure in the character development direction, except that Scott is shoe horned as the leader. I could see a few stories of him having to cope on his own in situations, and I think he is quite capable, certainly capable of strategy. But even so , I think the novelty of him on his own would wear off quickly.

He has more experience as a solo adventurer and just works better in that vein.

For me it would have to be Angel.  I think a solo title of him back in the day would have been GREAT.  I see it as a cross between Spider-Man and Iron Man.  A little intrigue, a little street level action...

Friday 1/29 toss-up: which X-Man would have made a good Avenger - Cyclops or Marvel Girl?
