When I was a kid the rescues meant the most to me.  We'd be going to Virginia and I'd imagine how Superman would save us if the overpass collapsed, or how Spider-Man would keep Doctor Octopus at bay if he attacked us in school.

When I got into the X-Men I liked the fights a lot more :)

Thursday 1/29 toss-up: which X-Man would have a better solo book: Cyclops or The Angel?

I'd say Angel. There's a lot you could do with his secret identity as a billionaire corporate executive.

As for Cyclops, he's most comfortable as a leader - which means he needs to be in a team setting.

The Angel.  He started off as a solo hero and is one of the few X-Men who have crossed and been a member of other teams.  He could just be a fun adventurer

Angel -- cos we've never really seen enough of him even though he's been around for 40-odd years and I think he'd shine in a solo setting. He's got remarkable powers but they often pall in comparison to those around, so a solo book would suit. It would also give us a chance to see what Worthington Industries actually does.

I don't think Cyclops would work well on his own. A Cyclops/Jean Grey book might work, but not solo Cyclops.
