It is close, but I would give McFarlane the nod over Jim Lee.  McFarlane is what Rob Liefield could be if he knew how to draw body parts in proportion.

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (3/28):

Green Arrow: Quiver by Kevin Smith or Green Lantern: Rebirth by Geoff Johns?

Theodore - you're killing me with all this DC stuff I have never read!  But I'll be back tomorrow, sure as shootin'.  :)

wow...this is a tough one.  i thoroughlly enjoyed both...problem with each one, though, is that they were both stories whose purpose was to undo a mistake and didn't really evolve organically.  and where i certainly do enjoy KS's wit I'd have to say that Rebirth was a good deal more exciting.

so i vote Rebirth.

(although I'm going to go and re-read both of these now to make a more informed decision)

Yesterday (how I missed it, I don't know) I pick Jim Lee by the length of a Mark McGwire homerun!

Today...hmmm...Was never a big GA fan but I bought quiver because of the hype and I am friends with Phil and Ande. I actually enjoyed Meltzer's run better.
GL I picked up for Pacheco and it wasn't his best (but still good!).
Gee, the writer's had little to do with why I picked either of them up.
I guess I will give GL the nod.

Their styles are nothing alike.  And McFarlane's art started out quirky and interesting but ultimately became hideous.

I liked both returns but I'll go with Green Lantern: Rebirth because it brought back Hal as Green Lantern as well as restoring his heroic character after the events of Emerald Twilight.
