Thanks to you both for sharing.
Artist are their own worst critics. The work is great.

Phil you're a lucky fella! Three cool Byrne pieces and the Scott and Jean one has a nice bit of history with it... How cool is that!
THANKS!

Nice sketches, Phil. Thanks for showing them.
It would be interesting to see what they would look like if JB redrew them today. It would be hard to improve on the X-Men drawing though.

Cleaned up the pictures up a bit and blew them up a little.

For sketches they look ok to me! I would expect a commision piece to look better, the sketches are free and done in seconds, the commisions are paid for and take a bit longer.

This goes back a ways. This goes way, way back...
I remember being a pre-teen kid at the time, just getting into
comics. One of the first that I brough on my own was (Uncanny)
X-Men #111 which preceded the little plotline you're alluding to up
there, but I never did get a chance to find out what happened until my
grade school bud and fellow comics collector (he'd be swapping out
Marvel stuff for the "Distinguished Competition" within a few years,
after Wolfman and Perez launched their New Teen Titans
monthly) showed me the rest of the issues that he got. But I was
hooked, and started seriously collecting UXM with the onset of the
"Dark Phoenix" saga.
The Pyms are another one, from when I started reading with that classic Avengers arc that Perez drew in #161 and 162 to their guest appearance in Marvel Team-Up
(with a certain "webhead" versus a "Living Equinox") drawn by
John. Little did I realize that this was not slated to be such a
happy family...
Nice of you to share this, guys.

The Marvel Team-Up appearance of Yellowjacket and the Wasp is one of my favorites from that series. Great stuff.
