I've never been a fan of this character but there is only one version for me : the one John Romita jr did with JB at the writing chores : The run was good, the writting was fun, the art was brillant and the design was great
Here the only cover JB inked over John Jr

I've gotta go with the "Ditko Re-Design" as my all time fav - especailly rendered by the greatest of all Iron Man artists: George Tuska.
Plus, honourable mentions got to John Romita Jr. who rescued a bad look and redefined it during Byrne's run as writer.
But Tuska - hands down. that man could draw any era of Iron Man and I would be all over it like white on rice.

I've gotta go with the classic armor as my favorite but I do like the armor from JRJR's 2nd run, which was written by JB for a while if I'm not mistaken.

My liking of the armour he wears depends on who is drawing it at the time.
The Silver Centurion one was at its best when drawn by Mark Bright.
The classic armour when done by JRJR and Bob Layton.
The new red and gold by Jackson Guice was great too.

If Stark really had that type of technology, he'd only need one suit that he could reconfigure at anytime for any job.

This is essentially what they did in season two of the '90s IM animated series.

My top 3:
1. Ditko Armor
2. Heroes Return (Busiek/Chen) Armor
3. Michelinie/Layton/Guice Armor (when I started reading)
Bonus points:
Who was the mysterious Paul St. Pierre?

I vote for the armor from issue 100.
Then the original gray armor.
then (a DISTANT third) the Busiek/Chen armor (too many geegaws, though)
