Another character who could have popped up in a Kirby IRON MAN book, one that needed some attention for a long time before Roger Stern saw fit to use him extensively.

Here is the only Hulk cover Kirby did (that I could find) in the '70s
By the way I did a commsion drawing of 3-D Man. It was basically a swipe that the buyer asked of me.

Wow, I'd never have guessed that Spidey Super Stories cover was Kirby. John Romita must have redrawn just about everything except the buildings in the background.

RE: Woodgod
One of the mods (ms ashton) is a huge Woodgod fan. Its really kinda weird. I haven't seen her around here in a long time, so maybe we didn't talk about Woodgod enough. I dunno.

Thanks for posting all of these great covers. I particularly like the 3-D Man cover with him appearing to break out of the two dimensions of a comics page.
I always liked 3-D Man and wished he made more frequent appearances in the Marvel Universe. However, since his stories were set in the 1950s, I guess it was hard to fit him in.

Awwww Man!! Seeing all these old Kirby covers has got me fiendin' for the good ol' days where just a few dollars could buy you a stack of reading & visual fun for a couple of hours. Now a few dollars only gets you maybe ten minutes of "What the F**K!!

A cover by Kirby, inked hard by Romita. Never would have guessed
********
And I'd still bet some serious (well, semi-serious) money that the Spider-man figure at least is all Romita

According the Jack Kirby Weblog, the cover of FF 164 was the first cover Kirby did when he returned to Marvel in 1975.
I dig this Black Goliath cover. You have got to love Stilt-Man.
