That Hulk/Cyclops piece is. . . odd.

Yeah.  The blast is not drawn coming from the visor.  And his mouth is closed.  Maybe it is mutant b.o. from his armpit?

Looks like Scott is vomiting at the Hulk!!

I thought the same thing.

The Hulk/Cyclops piece was just a con sketch. I thought the same thing when I first saw it. I figured he was in a rush with the marker and forgot to take the blast from his visor and couldn't change it.

That panel is a very nifty "reinterpretation" of a Kirby shot in one of the earliest issues. My ESSENTIALS are still in a box somewhere, or I'd pull out the appropriate page and scan it for comparison. Perhaps someone else would care to do the honors.

For anyone who can scan it, the Kirby panel in question is the full-page splash from chapter two ("The Hulk Strikes!") of Incredible Hulk # 1. I don't have a scanner on-hand.

If I may chime in, Superman/Hulk by Steve Rude is my third favourite crossover, right after The first Superman/Spider-Man and Captain America/Batman.
