As much as Steve Rude did a bang-up job, I would have loved to have seen JB do it instead …

The "fans" who did it. Again, we see here the early rumblings of the mentality that would soon turn comics into the fanzines they have become. The whole "That's so cool/I'm so cool" attitude which has placed the "talent" firmly ahead of the product.

if the guys who made comics stopped being so cool and started being more like mr byrne and just told the great stories of the past comics would be better again. i can remember the house of ideas!
