That's no problem, JB. The Nefaria piece is one of my favorites.  Envy and hatred in equal measure are now wafting their way towards the _________ (fill in the blank).

Funny thing about this piece. Usually -- and I do mean usually -- as I'm working I'm looking at whatever is spilling out of my pencil or pen and thinking "Oh, this is such crap! This is such sh*t! I can't do it any more! It's all over!" I normally have to come back an hour or so after the work is done to look at it again, and decide that maybe it doesn't suck after all. Sometimes this process can take days. And, yes, it goes back to the very beginnings of my career, and beyond.

Yet, when I was working on this one, I felt absolutely none of the usual misgivings. Everything looked just fine as I worked on it -- this time, of course, making me wonder if you, the "viewers" would think it was crap!

That must have made you pensive.

Because the commissions are of such a consistently high quality and so as to avoid hyperbole, it's not often I would consider saying the words "best one yet."  However, I am seriously debating using that phrase here.  Top 5 at least!  Very well done! (I'm a big fan of argle-bargle).

There isn't so much as a whif of "crap" on this piece.  I will beat anyone who disagrees!

Great job JB!  Love the detail as well. I see a little Perez influence in this one.

One thing I meant to add further up-thread. In regards other commissions there has been talk of how I "own" Doctor Doom, or "own" Galactus. Working on this particular piece, I was struck by the fact that, even tho he has not drawn this character nearly as often as I have those other two, George Peréz definitely owns Ultron. It wasn't one of George's renditions that I used from my reference, but his version of the character was right in the front of my brain the whole time I was drawing him.
