JB, I've seen a few sketch pages you've done of Power Girl lately. Will she be involved in the new project with Roger Stern?

Just got confirmation from Jim Warden that these are set aside for me:

Why I love these pages I just purchased:
The first one is extra cool because it's such a large image of Kalibak (obviously). What's extra special for me though is that I already own the next page from that issue! That makes those my first consecutive pages I own which I think is cool!
The second page is great just because of all the characters it features along with the close up of Orion. Think what it would cost to get a commission* with all those guys in it!!!
*By the way, I have definite plans for a 4th World themed commission by JB. I'm hoping to get that going this summer and this purchase is sort of an appetizer for myself I guess...

Great pages, Joe. I've looked at that top one a couple of times myself. Kalibak just fills the page so well.

O that's something for all of us to look forward to Joe, thanks for sharing that tidbit, and the images – lovely stuff! Congrats!
Personally, I just pray that DC will come to their senses and follow up their up-coming HC editions of Kirby's Fourth World stuff with JB's work on that material. That'd be sooooooo great since it's long overdue.

Joe, super cool 4th World pages. I had been keeping my eye on that Kalibak page for a while. I'm glad you were able to buy it.
I went to the Pittsburgh Comicon this past weekend and picked up some sketches and a few pages of original art.
First up I bought two pages from inker Bob Almond from the current A Nightmare on Elm Street comic. I'm a big fan of horror films and this franchise in particular. The first page only cost five bucks!
Now here's Freddy!
The penciler on these pieces is Kevin West.

I had the chance to meet with Betty and Veronica artist Jeff Schultz. He was a real nice guy and he even did a Jughead sketch for me, even though he doesn't really draw the character often.
I also bought two fashion pages from the B&V comic.

After missing out last year, I was lucky enough to get a sketch from Tim Truman. Here's Jonah Hex.
I also bought a page from his incredible Conan mini-series. This is the back of the page.
This is the front. He said he used photographers ink to get the effect he was looking for.

I had Alex Saviuk do a Green Lantern for me. He had a nice run in the 70's on the title. He was another nice guy to talk with.
Disney comics artist Patrick Block was kind enough to do a quick Uncle Scrooge.
Current X-Factor artist Khoi Pham wasn't able to make it to the con until late Saturday. Since I was leaving that day he was able to do this Strong Guy sketch as the show was closing.
