Congrats, Trevor! That Colan piece looks really sweet.
And your pieces were all fine too, Chris! Have to agree with JB though... that 2 page spread wasn't the artist's finest moment by any means. So all in all, I think you opted for the better pages by far. Congrats!

Thanks, Joakim. I just got it delivered to me earlier today. It looks very nice close up. I think the scan isn't really doing it justice. Hopefully I can scan it myself next week when I get access to a scanner large enough to handle it.

Well, my admiration for Colan really came into bloom when I bought the Essential Dracula volumes. I read a lot of the stuff in Swedish as a kid, but didn't fully appreciate how great an artist Colan is... and his stuff works so marvelously in b/w as well.

Very nice, Gerry!
Btw, I finally got around to getting the first of the Essential Dr Strange volumes and a couple of stories into it, I cannot thank you enough for recommending it, Gerry. Great stuff.

It finally arrived today so I think it deserves a spot in the New Art thread:

And here it is in my portfolio next to the empty space that is reserved for the companion piece by Joe Rubinstein which I'll be getting within the next few weeks (hopefully):
