Wow! I really need to get that at some point. But judging from this (is that brownish ink used?) why on earth isn't DC putting together a nice HC volume with this material???

Good stuff, Ryan.  I especilly like the Alpha Flight page.  JB has said in the past that he doesn't like these "quiet moments," which I really don't understand why.  I think they are so effective in developing the characters.

Thanks Wilson.  I agree with you about the 'quiet moments', especially in context of a book, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy the original art unless it was something that had special meaning for me.  Replace Heather with Lois Lane in ACTION, fer instance, and I wouldn't buy.

Never have I said this. The closest I have come is saying I generally prefer to avoid "quiet" scenes in commission pieces. In the regular work, tho -- well, I am the guy Jim Shooter dubbed the "master of quiet drama".

Horace,

I very rarely say this to anyone... but you having Terry ink over Jazzy was just plain stupid...

If you had it inked on another sheet using a light-table or overlay, then you would have had 2 works of art, buy two great artist... and the Jazzy art would still be left untouched to quietly embrance his artistic talent...

I hope you had scanned yourself a super-HIREZ of the before?

Here's a piece from F-Troop #7 (1967) I picked up a while ago.  I've been unable to identify the artist(s), though...
